Hi All,
Words cannot express the gratitude that the Cleveland Mounted Police and the Friends
of the CMP can extend to EACH and EVERYONE of you that participated in today's
histroric ride!!! Our heart filled thanks goes to ALL of you as if it wasn't for your
support, this "Ride" could have not happened!!! Please relay this message to anyone
not on the net and who was present today.
I'm sure that after today, WE have started a "Tradition," and in future years to come
tthere will be more horses in our parade than cars on the streets, (a good thing)!l
There is nothing but love to all of you, and from a former "Dog" U.S. Marine, I must
admit there were times today that I had tears in my eyes from the support you all have
given us for this noble cause. I until today, thought that the "Height in my Mounted
career was riding in a Presidential Parade (Bush's in 1989)...But after today, you all
made me so proud, that the inaugural parade takes second to being honored with
riding with you!
FYI... Our parade was covered by News channel 19-(WOIO) , 43-(WUAB), 3 and 5 we
also were broadcasted on radio (WERE-1300am) and featured in the Cleveland Plain
Dealer. I was informed that footage of the parade can be viewed on Ch. 43 @ 10:00PM
and on Ch. 19 @ 11:00 PM tonight.
Again, thank you ALL so much! Sorry, gotta go wipe my eyes again :-) "May the sun
