Directions to Hines Hill Conference Center...meetings held 1st Wednesday of every month.
77 north to route 8, get off at route 303, turn west toward Peninsula. Take 303 into the town of Peninsula to the
second light (GAR Hall on one corner, Fire Station on the other) Turn Right (north) on Riverview Road, continue
down to the Valley to the first cross road. Boston Road, (Boston Mills Ski area is straight ahead) Turn Right, over
the river, past the towpath and continue straight on Boston Mills Road until you get the "Y", large white church in
the center of the Y, and bear Left. This is Hines Hill Road. The Meeting is at Hines Hill Conference Center, which
is the first driveway on your left at the top of the hill.
Directions to Robinson Field:
EASILY ACCESSIBLE FROM I 271 AND Route 8
Robinson Field is a beautiful secluded area in the heart of the CVNP that has been made accessible to the
Medina County Chapter of the Ohio Horsemen's Council by the National Park Service. On selective weekends,
OHC holds work parties that maintain, upgrade and service the bridle trails in the National Park. We are allowed
to camp at Robinson Field and use it as our headquarters for the weekend. In conjunction with the work parties,
we sponsor both guided and 'ride on your own' trail rides. See the schedule of events for information on our work
- ride weekends.
Directions from I 271:
Exit 271 at the Route 303 exit and proceed east on Rte. 303 (to Peninsula). At the 2nd traffic light, turn right (south)
onto Akron-Peninsula Road. Continue down Akron-Peninsula Rd. for approximately 2 miles. Robinson Field is on
the left side of the road, but it is unmarked. (Approximately 1/3 mile past Wetmore Rd.) Carefully turn into the
gravel driveway marked with OHC signs.
Directions from Route 8:
From the North: Exit Route 8 at Route 303. Proceed west on 303 until the 1st traffic light in Peninsula. Turn left
on Akron-Peninsula Rd. and continue south for approximately 2 miles. Robinson Field is on the left side of the
road, but it is unmarked. (Approximately 1/3 mile past Wetmore Rd.) Carefully turn into the gravel driveway marked
with OHC signs.
From the South: Exit Route 8 at Steeles Corners Road. Proceed west on Steeles Corners Road for
approximately 5 miles until it dead ends into Akron-Peninsula Rd. in the valley. Turn right (north) on
Akron-Peninsula Rd. and go past North Hampton Road approximately 1/4 mile. Robinson Field is on the right
side of the road, but is unmarked. Carefully turn into the gravel driveway marked with OHC signs.
