Medina County Ohio Horseman's Council
DEDICATED TO PROMOTING RIDING IN THE CUYAHOGA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
The Medina Chapter of the Ohio Horseman’s Council started the Celebration Competitive Trail Ride in 1991 as one of
our main fundraisers. This fundraiser along with other events that we do help generate income that we use to build
and maintain the equestrian trails in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park located between Cleveland and Akron Ohio.
The members of Medina-OHC are a dedicated hard-working group of volunteers who for 20 years have funded, built,
and maintained these Horse Trails in the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
This event generates a large number of Competitors and Volunteers with their families camped at Howe Meadow
(Cuyahoga Valley National Park) for this big weekend along with visitors sightseeing from the CVNP and nearby towns
Competitive Trail Riding is a timed distance event that judges an individual horse’s finishing condition against the
same horse's starting condition. It takes dedication and hard work to train for this type of distance competition for both
the horse and rider. Whether you come to compete in the ride, volunteer, or just come see what we do, you will enjoy
the beautiful views of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park!
